14 months ago, we at Pop Up Races made a decision to rebrand, a part of which meant a complete rebuild of our slow, cumbersome website. In 2018, we had processed approximately 40,000 race entries through a wordpress plug in, so a key decision for us was whether or not to outsource our events registration on our new site.
Following a lengthy period of market research and meeting with potential partners, I reached out to John in Eventmaster and met him for a coffee. As a runner myself, I was familiar with the Eventmaster system and always found it straightforward when registering for events. Meeting John and discussing my vision for how I wanted registration to work, I knew immediately that Eventmaster was the right partner for us.
Fast forward 12 months, we are now fully live and processing over 50% more entries to races through the platform. Our team has worked closely with John and Stephen and the wider team, and they have been extremely accommodating in any requests we have had. Their system has drastically reduced the amount of administrative work we carry out pre race, it has allowed us to go “paperless” at registration and has been universally praised by our own customers (160+ race directors) along with our customers customers (100,000+ runners).
The biggest indirect impact has been the quality of data we get from Eventmaster. Our weekly “queries” KPI is at an all time low. Our timing system is only as good as the data we feed it, and the data we get is 100% reliable.
In short, Eventmaster has changed our business, freeing up hundreds of hours for our team to focus on other areas. It is a user friendly, customisable and most importantly, a fast, reliable registration platform. And it has done exactly as John said it would at our first meeting, it has “taken the registration headache away to allow you focus on timing races and growing your business”.
I would have no hesitation recommending Eventmaster. I have sampled most of the systems on the Irish market and nothing comes close to what Eventmaster can offer.
