Keith McConnon fundraising for Acquired Brain Injury Ireland in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025
The idea of running a marathon used to be something I never considered. Yet, here I am, preparing for my second one, the Dublin Marathon 2025. My journey to this point is a personal one, rooted in a life changing injury and the incredible support that has brought me back. Last year, I ran my first marathon as a thank you to St. Vincent's University Hospital. This year, my focus is entirely on Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, an organisation that has been my constant lifeline throughout my recovery and entire life. From the moment I returned home from the hospital, Acquired Brain Injury Ireland stepped in. They've guided me through the complexities of recovery, providing invaluable resources, practical strategies, and continuous support to navigate life with an acquired brain injury. They've empowered me to rebuild my life, one day at a time. This Dublin Marathon is my thank you to them, and a powerful call to action. My story is just one of many. Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides vital understanding, expertise, and hope to countless individuals and families grappling with brain injury. They empower people to regain independence and find their place in the world again. I am running to help ensure they can continue this essential work. Your donation directly contributes to their critical services – to rehabilitation, community support, and advocacy – giving hope where it is desperately needed. Please join me in supporting Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. Your generosity will help them continue to be a lifeline for so many, just as they have been for me. Every step I take in the Dublin Marathon 2025 will be a thank you to them, and every donation will help them continue their incredible mission. Thank you for your support.
