About Dublin Simon Community
Dublin Simon Community was founded by a group of Trinity and UCD students in 1969, who began by providing much-needed soup and sandwiches to people who were sleeping rough in Dublin city centre. In addition to the Soup Run, which still goes out 365 nights of the year, Dublin Simon Community provide many services which aim to help those who are sleeping rough on the streets, people who are in their own accommodation but at risk of homelessness and those who are at any of the stages in between.
About Dublin Simon Community Home Run 5K Run & Family Day Out 2026
Lace up and make a difference at Dublin Simon Community’s 43rd annual Home Run in Phoenix Park on Saturday, 3rd October.
Kicking off at 9:30am, walk, jog, run, or roll through a new 5K loop, which is open to all ages and abilities. Family and friends can also cheer from the sidelines as we unite as a community to help end homelessness for good.
This year, Dublin Simon Community encourages participants to start fundraising efforts early. Raise at least €50 and you’ll earn a limited-edition Home Run T-shirt as a thank you. Aim for a €100 goal, with all donations supporting our essential life-saving services.
