Help Each Other - Deaf Mental Health's team fundraising for Irish Deaf Society

Help Each Other – Deaf Mental Health is a group of 9 Deaf and 1 CODA runners taking part in the Dublin Marathon 2026 and one in the EVA Air Sunshine Coast Marathon 2026. We run in memory of a Deaf friend who passed away earlier this year, a team member’s Deaf brother who passed in 2019, and other Deaf people whose lives ended too soon. Inspired by our friend’s motto, “Help Each Other,” we run to raise awareness and support positive change in Deaf mental health. The Irish Deaf Society is campaigning for a fully Deaf-accessible Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and greater access to Irish Sign Language counselling and mental health support. Our goal is to raise vital funds to ensure Deaf children, young people, and adults can access mental health services in their own language, without barriers.
