Alan Smyth fundraising for Irish Deaf Society with Help Each Other - Deaf Mental Health in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 along with Ciaran, James, John, Joseph, Keenan, Enda Nicholas, Paul and Robert (who will be running in Australia) in memory our dear friend Tim Grace and James brother Timmy Reardon whose lives ended too soon. Our Team is called Help Each Other, Inspired by Tim motto, “Help Each Other,” we run to raise awareness and support positive change in Deaf mental health as at the moment no support for fully Deaf-accessible. The Irish Deaf Society is campaigning for a fully Deaf-accessible Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and greater access to Irish Sign Language counselling and mental health support. Our goal is to raise vital funds to ensure Deaf children, young people, and adults can access mental health services in their own language, without barriers. We will be doing fundraising events so keep an eye out for that Little or large, every donation counts, help us help each other.
