James Reardon fundraising for Irish Deaf Society with Help Each Other - Deaf Mental Health
I'm running the Dublin Marathon 2026 in memory of my brother Timmy Reardon and a dear friend Tim Grace whose lives ended too soon. I'm grateful to have a group of friends to share this journey with and hopefully we can help bring about positive change in access to mental health services and supports for Deaf people through Irish Sign Language. Inspired by our friend’s motto, “Help Each Other,” we run to raise awareness and support positive change in Deaf mental health. The Irish Deaf Society is campaigning for a fully Deaf-accessible Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and greater access to Irish Sign Language counselling and mental health supports. https://www.irishdeafsociety.ie/publications/policy-papers/mental-health-position-paper/ Our goal is to raise vital funds to ensure Deaf children, young people, and adults can access mental health services in their own language, without barriers. Support our team and help us help each other.
