Event Description:
These camps aims to give participants a memorable paddling experience in a fun and safe environment whilst providing a good foundation for paddlesport. These camps will focus primarily on Kayaking; however, it may include using other crafts, such as canoes, sit-on-tops kayaks , SUP boards and rafts over the course. The two camps will be run over four days. The camp is open to young people between the ages of 10 and 16 and is limited to a maximum of 12 places.

The camp will run from 10.00 am until 15.00 pm

Please bring lunch, a drink and some snacks

Students will be supplied with all technical equipment needed, such as a buoyancy aid or personal flotation device (PFD), helmet and cagoule or windproof jacket; however, as Kayaking is a wet sport, so you will be in the water at some point during the sessions so each participant is advised to bring with them the following personal gear:

  • Towel
  • Swimwear
  • Thermal top or t-shirt
  • Suitable footwear – bootees or an old pair of runners
  • Sense of adventure and a smile

The Centre can supply wetsuits, but feel free to bring your own if you have one.
