Swim Ireland have partnered with the Dublin City Sports and Wellbeing Partnership to deliver an Assistant Swimming Teacher Course in Ballymun
This course is designed to support and empower teenage girls to get involved in sport through a fun, inclusive, and confidence-building environment. Participants will gain practical swimming teaching skills while developing leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.
Through a mix of classroom learning and poolside experience, students will build confidence in the water and learn how to support others in a safe and positive setting. The programme also introduces pathways into further opportunities in sport, coaching, and the leisure industry.
Ideal for teen girls who want to stay active, try something new, and grow in confidence while being part of a supportive community.
Please note:
Participants who turn 16 before the start of the course will be required to complete Garda Vetting. This process can take up to 8 weeks to be processed by the National Vetting Bureau, an early application is strongly recommended.
All participants must also complete an online Safeguarding course through Swim Ireland. A discounted code will be provided after registration to book this training.
These are mandatory requirements for anyone working with children and must be completed prior to participation in the programme.
