Her Outdoors Week is a campaign led by Sport Ireland, encouraging more females to get out and enjoy being active outdoors. Swim Ireland and Clare Sports Partnership are teaming up to provide discounted programme fees on HER Outdoors events and programmes through Sport Ireland funding.

We are inviting midlife females to come along and join us for a fun aqua aerobics programme, that you haven't experienced before!

Get ready for an introduction to Aqua Aerobics in the open water and everything it has to offer! Saying "Goodbye" to the old stereotypes surrounding Aqua Aerobics, take the evenings to bond with your fellow females and enjoy the beautiful waters of Twomilegate!

Important Information;

  • 4-Week Programme, August 16th - September 6th.
  • Each session involves a 15min land warm up with a pilates instructor, followed by a 40-45min Aqua Aerobics session with certified instuctor and life guard.
  • Post programme Information session with the "Physio Girl" to inform you on the best women's health advice!
  • Tickets sold separately, €25 (plus 7% processing fee) per ticket for 4 week admittance.
  • Participants should be confident in the water and comfortable out of your depth.
  • Open to those aged 12years and over.
  • Participants receive swim hats, menopause and swimming informational pamphlet and drawstring bag as part of booking.
  • Please wear appropriate swim wear e.g. secure bikinis or swim suits to allow for movement, as this is an open water programmes if you would like to stay warm we would recommend wearing tight fitting rash vests or gym leggings - wetsuits are NOT advised due to the nature of the aqua aerobics exercises.
  • Goggles are not required.
  • Bring a water bottle with you to stay hydrated,
  • Bring a towel / swim poncho and warm clothes for after your session! (Top tip; bring a flask of your desired hot drink for post swim treats!)
