Swim Ireland Dun Laoghaire Harbour Race (3^rd August 2025)

Entries are now open for the 2025 Swim Ireland Dun Laoghaire Harbour Race taking place on Sunday the 3rd of August 2025. Race the iconic Harbour of Dun Laoghaire with the stunning back drop of the East piers to one side and seaside town on the other. It is bound to be a great day.

In continuing with the tradition and format of the race, swimmers will be allocated handicaps for the race.

Distance - 2200m

Timings for the Day:

High Tide – 8:06pm

Registration (Female and Children) – 5.00pm

Registration (Open/Male) – 6.00pm

Children’s Swim (Ages 9 to 14) – 6.00pm *FREE

Female Swim – 6.30pm

Open/Male Swim – 7.30pm

*Can win prizes on offer for this category. Number of prizes will be dependent on number of entries. Cannot win the overall race or be eligible for prizes in category 1.

Eligibility

To be eligible to take part in the 2025 Swim Ireland Dun Laoghaire Harbour Race:

• Swimmers must hold a competitive Swim Ireland club members or Special Membership (This includes joint Triathlon Swim Plus Membership)
• Swimmers must have competed in 3 open water races hosted by Swim Ireland and/or a Swim Ireland affiliated club nationwide.
• Swimmers must be aged 14 and over.

Swim Ireland will be contacting clubs to verify eligibility criteria.

Entry Fees

• Age 9 to 13 (200 m participation event) - Free
• Age 14 to 19 - €25
• Adult 20+ Open/Male and Female - €50

Each participant will receive:

• Special edition T shirt sponsored by Aqualine
• Swim Ireland silicone swim hat

Before You Book

• You must be able to swim the distance of the event that you have registered for.
• Due to the nature of Open Water Events, timings on event day are subject to change.
• Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event (except when in the water).
• Open to both wetsuits and non-wetsuit participants.
