About Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
CRY Ireland is a registered Irish charity founded in 2002 by parents, relatives and friends who have experienced the effects of sudden and unexplained deaths of their loved ones.
Our vision is the prevention of sudden cardiac death of young persons in Ireland.
Our mission is to provide both access for families in Ireland, north and south, bereaved by the sudden cardiac death of a young person, to free screening and emotional support services, in an empathetic environment and to support research into the prevention of sudden cardiac death.
Our Purpose is:-
• To provide access to free Clinical Assessment and Management to all families who have suffered, or are at risk of, a Sudden Cardiac Death.
• To provide a Family Support Programme, offering free access to Listening Volunteers, Mentors and bereavement specialists.
• To organize events, and provide access to information and networks.
• To support research into the causes and prevention of sudden cardiac death, in collaboration wit
