Stephen Grissing fundraising for Irish Cancer Society in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025
On Sunday 26 October, I will be running the Dublin City marathon, and in doing so, raising funds for the Irish Cancer Society. This year I am running the marathon in memory of my sister, Karen, who lost her battle to breast cancer at the age of 42. The race takes place just two days after the second anniversary of her passing. Karen was a great supporter of the marathon. During my previous Dublin marathon attempts, Karen would be cheering me on just after Foster’s Avenue with jellies and water to help me on my way. Many of us have seen the tragic impact that cancer can have, not only on cancer patients but also on the family and friends who are left behind. Please show your support and donate funds for the Irish Cancer Society. The Society provides essential services including night nursing, provision of valuable information, support services to patients and families. In addition the Society is the largest funder of cancer research in Ireland. Any donation is greatly appreciated, big or small.
