Ruby Devlin fundraising for Children in Hospital Ireland
This year I am running the Dublin Marathon for Children in Hospital Ireland. When my son Cillian was 3 weeks old he was admitted to Tallaght hospital for 6 days. The staff were amazing, we were in a private room with a bed for myself so that Cillian was never alone. It was such a a scary time and thankfully it was not a long term illness. Seeing all the little children on the ward was heartbreaking and the work done by the hospital, staff and volunteers is amazing. Santa visited and a knitted hat was donated to make Cillian feel special. Fundraising is essential to ensure parents are children are looked after so well while in hospital and that all their focus can remain on treatment and getting better. Please donate what you can, even the cost of a coffee is very much appreciated.
