Welcome, and thank you for visiting my fundraising page! My name is Paul McKenna, and on October 26th, 2025 — during my 50th spin around the sun — I’ll be running my very first marathon through the streets of Dublin’s fair city. I’m taking on this challenge in support of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland (SBHI), an organisation that is very close to my heart. Our daughter Aoife, now 14, lives with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. Her courage, resilience, and bright spirit inspire me every single day. SBHI has been a constant source of support, advocacy, and community for families like ours. This run is my way of giving back and helping them continue their vital work. Training for a marathon is no small feat — and I know I’m going to suffer! But every step I take is driven by love for Aoife. The challenge I face on the road is nothing compared to what Aoife deals with each and every day. She has taught me more about strength and resilience than I could ever teach her. She is my hero. Your support — whether through a donation, a message of encouragement, or simply sharing this page — means the world to us. Together, we can make a meaningful difference. With heartfelt thanks, Paul, Fiona, Gráinne, and Aoife McKenna
