Patrick Mc Namara fundraising for Gay Community News (GCN) in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026

This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 — for something bigger than myself. 26.2 miles. That’s the distance between comfort and courage, between an ordinary day and a moment that could truly change lives. Every mile I run is a reminder of why I’m doing this — to make a real difference for those who need it most. It’s not just about crossing a finish line; it’s about showing up, pushing through, and turning effort into impact. Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say. Together, we can take every step a little further. Every mile matters. Every gesture helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Owner messages:

7km ran on a Wednesday evening after work. Took a nice slow pace as wasn't sure how the legs would react after the 27km on Sunday.

Milestone achieved today. 27kms and over 3hrs out on my legs (running/walking). Exhausted is an understatement. Legs like jelly. Delighted with the achievement

8km ran 🏃‍♂️ in Phoenix Park in 31 degrees. Very warm and sweaty 😓. Tough going but kept going. Legs sore. (Run 12th August)
