I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025 — for something bigger than myself. It’s 26.2 miles of challenge and purpose, and I’m doing it to help make a real difference. Your support — whether through a donation or by sharing this page — means the world. Every step counts. Every share helps. Thank you so much!

About Anam Cara Parental & Sibling Bereavement Support clg

Anam Cara is a national organisation founded by bereaved parents and provides bereavement support services throughout the 32 counties. We offer peer support to families who have experienced the death of a child. Each year in Ireland c. 2,000 families experience the death of a son or daughter. For some, the death may have been expected through illness or a life-limiting condition. For others, it was unexpected through stillbirth, accident, suicide or substance abuse. Our services are available to all parents regardless of age or circumstances of their child’s death and are available for as long as needed. We focus on the similarities of our loss rather than differences and provide a level of support and understanding that others cannot offer. Our bereavement as parents unites us. We have 12 active groups meeting regularly throughout the country. Services are offered free of charge. We rely heavily on fundraising to fund our services and are very grateful for all support. Thank you!
