Jessica Higgins fundraising for Cancer Fund For Children in Cancer Fund for Children Firewalk

Last year I was lucky to be able to have treatment for cancer, but the side effects were pretty brutal with both therapies causing burns or burning sensations, so it maybe seems a little odd to challenge myself with walking over burning coals, but it's a challenge I'm ready for, and this time I'm in control! Navigating cancer diagnosis & treatment was tough; especially as a parent to a young child. Cancer Fund for Children's work was so helpful for us, and I am keen to give back so they can continue to support families like mine. I figure nothing can be as tough as surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, so light up that fire, and bring it on (and please sponsor me 😍)...

Owner messages:

The date of this challenge has been pushed back to February 2025! Loads of time still to sponsor me, and for me to psych myself up! 🔥

About Cancer Fund for Children Firewalk

Conquer the unthinkable with Cancer Fund for Children.

With no previous training required, the firewalking experience is designed to ignite the spirit of courage within participants allowing you to overcome fears and walk confidently across a bed of glowing embers. This ancient tradition symbolises the power to overcome challenges and instils a sense of accomplishment that lasts a lifetime.

The arrow breaking activity which takes place during your firewalk training is a testament to the power of focused determination as you break it using only the force of your own body. This impactful exercise serves as a metaphor for breaking through barriers and overcoming obstacles in life.
