Hi folks,delighted to say I have reached and surpassed my fundraising goal for the NBCRI. 10 days to go to the Dublin marathon! A massive thanks to each and everyone of you who have donated! The fundraisers for NBCRI taking on the marathon have collectively raised over 200k so far, an amazing amount! Thanks again to you all xx

Well folks we are exactly 2 months out now from the Dublin Marathon so the training is really ramping up. I completed my 16 mile long run on Sunday and so far so good! Thanks to everyone who has donated so far, I would love to reach my target before the marathon so any help is greatly appreciated! X

Hi everyone and Happy New Year to you all! Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2025...today marks day 1 of my fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Research charity, where myself along with some other family members have decided to help raise some funds by taking on the Dublin marathon in support of my sister Sandra who is currently battling breast cancer and being an absolute warrior! Her strength and resilience amazes me every day! Unfortunately she is one of many who will face this battle.

Currently, 1 in 7 Irish women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and there are 3,507 cases diagnosed annually which is set to continue to increase. These women are our mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, friends and neighbours. We know these women, they play major roles in our lives. The National Breast Cancer Research Institute is a national charity that funds a comprehensive research programme at the University of Galway. We know that breast cancer research has improved the diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes for those who develop the disease. We want to fund these research programmes to continue to impact the outcomes for those who develop the disease in the future. The research team, in collaboration with universities and hospitals across the globe, focuses on the development & improvement of diagnostic techniques and treatment strategies, to drive real and measurable improvement in clinical outcomes for breast cancer patients.
