I'm running the Dublin Marathon in October—my second ever marathon, after running the London Marathon two years ago—but this one is especially meaningful! This time, I’ll be running side by side with my sister, Sanura O'Reilly-Lowery, and we’re doing it in support of Safetynet Primary Care, a medical charity that delivers compassionate, quality healthcare to people who are marginalized and often excluded from the system. Founded by my incredible aunt, Dr. Fiona O'Reilly, Safetynet provides care to people experiencing homelessness and vulnerability. At a time when inequality and barriers to care continue, it’s more important than ever to support vulnerable communities to ensure no one is left behind.
