About Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
CRY Ireland is a registered Irish charity founded in 2002 by parents, relatives and friends who experienced the effects of sudden and unexplained deaths of their loved ones. Our Vision is the prevention of sudden cardiac death of young persons in Ireland. Our Mission and Purpose is:-
• To provide access to free Clinical Assessment and Management to all families who have suffered, or are at risk of, a Sudden Cardiac Death.
• To provide a Family Support Programme, offering free access to Listening Volunteers, Mentors and bereavement specialists in an empathetic environment.
• To organize events and provide access to information and networks.
• To support research into the causes and prevention of sudden cardiac death, in collaboration with like-minded bodies.
