Bronwyn Berkeley fundraising for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)

❤️Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Your support is really appreciated.❤️ Having taken up running in January '25 and continuing to progress through this year I thought I would set myself the challenge of completing my first marathon. In particular, I've signed up to undertake the many kilometres and hours of marathon training in support of CRY. CRY's (Cardiac Risk in Youth) mission is to provide access to free Clinical Assessment and Management to all families and young people living with an Inherited Cardiac Condition. As a teenager I used CRY's services where I was able to see a nurse, get bloods taken, have an ECG and echocardiogram performed, along with discussing my genetic diagnosis with Dr Ward, all in one place and for free. I want to raise vital funds for this service, which is run entirely on donations, to support it's continuation in the treatment and support of those at risk of cardiac events and their families. The early intervention afforded to me by the teams work has given me more healthy, cardiac event free years of my life, and stopped the cycle of premature deaths in my family by providing early genetic diagnosis and treatment. I want every child in Ireland to have this opportunity who needs it. I'll be logging all my training here if you want to check-in: https://strava.app.link/Yoc1Ou5MeTb
