Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I will be running the Clontarf Half Marathon on the 5th of July 2025. I’d like to raise money for organisations who have helped people close to my heart. Mainly my Father (Michael Dwyer) as he suffered a severe head injury and was in a coma for 2 months the end of last year. Thanks to the response in James (where my father worked) they sent him to ICU, then Beaumont as soon as they could. The surgeons in Beaumont saved him and essentially pulled off a miracle in saving his life and helped in keeping us as positive as we could be at the time and I believe that mattered. He will be starting a program soon in acquired brain injury, so they too will be part of the story, as a result he now lives with epilepsy as well as my mother and other loved ones close to my heart, which is why I chose epilepsy Ireland. I added Jigsaw as many young people are suffering from mental health, I have loved ones who attended and have come out the other side with great coping skills and ways of dealing with day to day problems in a calm & collective manner, it’s something I wish I had engaged in, having suffered with my mental health from a young age not having these coping skills can be costly. A special thanks to all the family who came together and were with my Dad throughout, we all played a big part in his recovery and we’re delighted to have our Father/Brother/Partner/Cousin/Grandad and a Friend to many, Any donations would be greatly appreciated and it’s to a cause very close to home. Thank you ❤️💙
