The Great Railway Run is a 25K road running event starting in Cork City and finishing in Carrigaline.
The Great Railway Run is a running event organised by the Carrigaline & District Lions Club with the support of Carrigaline AC.
The 25K road race takes place along the route of the old railway line from Cork city to Carrigaline.
The predominantly flat route passes through Blackrock, Rochestown, Passage, Monkstown, Raffeen and Shanbally before finally finishing at the Lions Youth Centre on Church Road, Carrigaline.
The 25K is an ideal event to test pace and fitness before the Cork City Marathon.
A bus service is provided between start and finish locations. Bus (€5) including return baggage transfer can ONLY be booked when registering.
We will not accept cash on the day for the bus.
