Evening Introductory Kayak Courses (Tues)

This course is a basic introduction to the sport of kayaking. The course programme covers Canoeing Ireland’s Level 2 Kayak Skills syllabus and includes an optional assessment. They are suitable for total beginners or for participants who have some previous experience.

Each course introduces participants to basic boat handling skills along with the necessary safety and rescue skills needed for paddling in a flat- water environment.
The courses are practical in nature with an overall emphasis of on- the -water paddling experience.  Each course consists of 6 evening sessions over 6 consecutive weeks. 7pm - 9.30pm
The course fee includes provision of kayak and all necessary safety equipment and gear.

• Kayaks (single person operated)
• Sit-On-Top Kayaks (Single person operated)
• Open Boats (Dual or more person operated)
• Sea-Kayak (single person operated designed mainly for use in the sea Adults Only)
