We will acknowledge your attendance and tick your name off our list as a registered participant and then provide you with a wrist band. Please attach this to your wrist and don’t lose it. This wrist band will grant you access to the lunch stop in Portaferry (see location below).

Start time: 8:30 – 9:00 (no mass start for the longer route)
50-mile route:

It is beneficial to cycle in a group so feel free to form or join a group if you have not done so already. Please note that there will be NO mass start for the 80-mile event. There will be marshals and a ‘broom wagon’ in support throughout the event. All riders must be away by 9:30 am.
The roads have been clearly marked with ‘TOS” or arrows that will be on the road in blue paint giving clear directions. The Strava maps for both routes are attached should you wish to upload it to your device:

Food Stop
The food stop will be at St Patrick’s Community Centre in Portaferry (49 Steel Dickson Ave, Portaferry BT22 1LG), as in previous years. We will have breakfast baps, water/tea/coffee & tray bakes at this stop. Remember you are required to have a wrist band to access the food stop.
On your return to Newtownards
In the past we have provided food and beverages at the end of the event. Unfortunately, we are not able to do so this year due to the ongoing health restrictions.
Once you have completed the Tour of Strangford we encourage all riders to make their onward journey and not to gather around in groups at the finish. All proceeds from this event will go to Samaritans Bangor & North Down branch. We would like to thank you sincerely for your ongoing support.
See you all on Sunday 12th. Registration closes at 18:00 11th September 2021.
