Come & Try Kayaking @ PKC at Cork Harbour Festival

Come and Try Kayaking session at Phoenix Kayak Club, as part of Cork Harbour Festival in June 2024!

When: Friday, June 7th 2024

Time: 6pm arrival for selection of boats and change into wet gear. On the water for 6.30pm. Session should be finished by 8.30/9pm.

Location: Phoenix Kayak Club, T23 T9FX.

Parking? Limited parking available on site. 

What to wear/bring? You must wear your own wetsuit or clothes that can get wet and suitable wet shoes (like old trainers). Bring a towel and dry change of clothes (and dry shoes!) The club has changing facilities, toilets, and kitchenet for teas/coffees/treats for afterwards.

Prior experience required? The only request is ability to swim 25m and thread on water. Participation is restricted to adults or children over 12 years old. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian also participating in this event.

What kind of kayaks? You will be on river running kayaks, which are sit-in kayaks. Kayaks, helmets and floatation devices will be availablle to you on the day.
