FREE Family Orienteering Event HOW 2024

Monaghan Sports Partnership in partnership with the Irish Orienteering Association are bringing Orienteering to Rossmore Park.

"Come & Try" Orienteering event is happening on Thursday August 15th @ 6pm in Rossmore Park (meeting point is: Rossmore main Car Park). This event is a fantastic introduction to orienteering and is an ideal opportunity for women to come and try out orienteering.

Orienteering is suitable for all ages and abilities and is a great fun activity. There are a number of different courses to choose from and help and assistance in navigating the virtual courses will be provided on the day.

Orienteering is a fantastic, fun filled outdoor activity which can be done by anybody and combines walking, running with navigation, traditionally through a map and compass, where you move from point to point to complete a course.

Hard copies of all maps will also be available on the morning of the event.

Numbers for this event will be limited so booking is essential!!! This is a FREE event for all participants who register!!!
