Road Races around the lovely scenic countryside of Blessington Lakes
Lakeshore Striders AC are proud to present the inaugural Heartbreak Hills Half Marathon. This grueling mountain road course, with a strict 2:30 cutoff, takes you through the rolling hills above the Blessington Lakes. With 300m of climb and some spectacular views this is one race not to be missed by lovers of mountain running. But beware, THIS IS NOT PB COURSE and is not recommended to anyone who averages more than a 1:55 on a flat half marathon route. There will be a cutoff before the 2nd climb at approx 15k and anyone deemed unlikely to make 2:30 will be DNF and sent around the shorter Lakes 10K route.
