Athletics Ireland are seeking expressions of interest in a pilot workshop covering the implications of menopause on performance for athletes and coaches. This will provide you with practical solutions and science-based strategies for active women to help you continue to perform as you age.
The areas that we will look at are -
The Science of Menopause – What is Menopause and what is happening to our bodies?
Training for the Menopausal Athlete – How our training needs change as our bodies change. How to train, when to train, how hard to train and what sort of training is most effective.
Nutrition for the Menopausal Athlete – How to change our fuelling strategy and to match what is going on in our body
Upon registering for this workshop, you will be asked a series of questions regarding Menopause. The purpose of these questions is to ensure the content and information is applicable to attendee's. All your information will be confidential.
This is a pilot workshop and we will only be able to accomodate 20 particpants.
