10K and 5K Races
Longwood Village 5K and 10K Races are back!
Longwood Village 5K and 10K road races return to the race calendar after 6 years in hibernation, our first event took place in 2009 and continued until 2019.
The 2026 races have a new look with new race routes. The races both start in Longwood Village, take runners on the scenic country roads surrounding the village then along the Royal Canal Greenway and back to the village.
The races are on 18th October 2026 , starting at 11am.
Race HQ is at Longwood GAA Centre (A83 CV07), Overall/Category prizegiving and refreshments will be here after the race.
The event is ran for the benefit of the community including Longwood GAA, Longwood Tidy Towns, Longwood Running Group and other local caused.
