Coach Network Day 2026

Athletics Ireland coaching and development team are delighted to be hosting our first Coach Network Day of 2026 on the 18th of April.

This day will be for coaches to learn, interact and engage with experts in the areas of coaching and athlete development. The event will feature presentations, practicals, event group discussions and opportunities to interact and engage with peer coaches.

Key Note Speaker - Tom Reynolds 

Tom is part of the extremely successful coaching team supporting multi event star Kate O'Connor. From the Paris Olympics in 2024 to the record medal haul in 2025, Tom was involved in Kate's training and preparation. Tom also coached his brother Ben Reynolds to multiple major championships including World and European Championships as well as a host of other athletes. 

Practical Events

After Toms talk athletes will go to the practical sessions. They will choose between a Javelin session or a hurdles session. 

Then coaches will get their lunch and return, and choose between a high jump or long jump session.

This network day is designed to help equip club coaches for athlete development.
