Belfast Learn to ride - Balance Bike Programme

Cycling Skills Course for Children

Contact:

Event Description:

Cycling Ireland in conjunction with Belfast City Council, is delighted to host cycling programmes across the city.

Each session aims to develop the fundamentals of cycling – balance, braking, cornering, pedalling, and learning new skills in a fun, safe, and controlled environment, from Balance Bikes to two-wheel riding. Courses run for 4 weeks or are intensive during school holidays.

Programme One: The Balance Bike programme is for children who are new to cycling and can not ride a pedal bike.

Programme 2: The Bike Skills programme is for children who can ride a pedal bike and want to improve their skills.

Select a ticket for the course you would like to attend, noting if it is an intensive course of weekly for 4 weeks.

We encourage children to bring their own bike if possible. Any type of working bike is suitable, and everyone must wear a cycling helmet. Balance bikes and a small number of pedal bikes will be available at each venue.
