Athlone AC Half Marathon and 10K 2024

Athlone Athletics Club invite you to the 2nd staging of their Half Marathon and 10k, taking place at 10 am on Sunday 22 September 2024. The Club is looking forward to welcoming new and returning runners of all abilities to our fast flat course. If it is a PB you are looking for or just a course that winds through Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, then this is the race for you. Our race starts and finishes on the TUS Athlone Campus running track and takes in the beautiful Greenway.

The entry fee includes posting of bib number and t-shirt. Race medals will be handed out to all finishers on race day. Light refreshments will also be provided post-race.

NEW FOR 2024:

We have made some small changes to both the Half marathon and 10k. The turnaround point will be further along the Greenway and on the return leg all participants will exit immediatley at the Garrycastle ramp.  On return to TUS campus there will be one lap of the running track to reach the finish line.
