Will Mullin fundraising for Biobank Ireland Trust in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 with a little bit of a difference, — for something bigger than myself. BioBank Ireland is an exceptional Cancer Research charity that helps accelerate discovery and develop better diagnostics and treatments for Cancer patients in Ireland. Its value lies in connecting world-class research with real patient-derived medicines. Their work saves, prolongs and enhances the lives of thousands of Irish cancer patients every year. Please help me help them continue this incredible work My fundraising goal is to raise €1,500 for Biobank Ireland. Here’s where I pledge a 'marathon with a difference' - If you help me to raise €1,500 here, I will run an Ultra Marathon - starting from home on the day of the marathon. adding 15.5 kilometers to the distance. Rather than an undertaking of 42 kilometers, my ultra marathon distance will become one of 57.5 kilometers. The distance is the same as running from the Hilton Hotel at Dublin Airport to Newtown Mount Kennedy in Co Wicklow, 20 kilometres past the end of the M50. It’s a challenge I will relish, and it could not be for a better charity, one that is very close to my heart. Biobank Ireland have indirectly affected the lives of every cancer patient in Ireland, and it's a charity I feel indebted to for the incredible work they do. 42 kilometres and 57.5 kilometres. That’s the difference between comfort and courage, between a marathon day and a day undertaking something that I’ve never tried before! Every kilometre I run is a reminder of why I’m doing this — to make a real difference for those who need it most. It’s not just about crossing a finish line; it’s about showing up, pushing through, and turning effort into impact. Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say. Together, we can take every step a little further. Every mile matters. Every gesture helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
