Shauna Slevin fundraising for Brain Tumour Ireland
Hey all, In summer 2024, I was diagnosed with a critical brain tumour — thankfully benign. After undergoing stereotactic radiosurgery, I’ve been navigating an ongoing health journey. Despite treatment, I still face daily challenges. This experience — from diagnosis to recovery — has been incredibly humbling and has given me a new perspective on health, resilience, and the power of community. Running has played a huge role in my recovery. It’s helped me rebuild strength, stay grounded, and process everything that’s come with this diagnosis. I’m grateful to be able to run, knowing many others with brain tumours face far tougher challenges. That’s why I’m taking on the Dublin Marathon 2025 to raise funds for Brain Tumour Ireland — a charity that provides vital support to patients and families across Ireland. My goal is to raise €2,000 to help them continue this important work. This marathon is more than just a race — it’s about showing up, committing to the process, and giving back. I’m truly grateful for the chance to do this and for your support. Thank you, Shauna x
