Our beautiful Adele 🕊️ After losing our beautiful Adele, we chose to channel our grief into fundraising for breast cancer research. We never imagined the impact her story would have. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our family, friends, and complete strangers, our 100km challenge in June raised over €32,000 for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. That support has already made an incredible difference, and we are forever grateful. Our next challenge involves running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon. Shane, Daryll, Matthew, Cabrina, Audrey, Aoife, David, Mike and PJ will all be running. Cheering from the sidelines will be Bronagh and Anne along with many more family, friends and supporters on the day. As we continue our journey towards the Irish Life Dublin Marathon, we don’t expect anyone who has already donated to contribute again. Please don’t feel any obligation. Your encouragement, messages, and support mean just as much to us as any donation. If you’ve recently joined us and would like to support breast cancer research in Adele’s memory, we’ve included the fundraiser link below. If you would like to, follow our instagram page @milesforadele. Whether you choose to donate, share our page, or simply follow along, thank you for helping us keep Adele’s legacy alive. 💗 https://eventmaster.ie/fundraising/pages/SO93214178

About National Breast Cancer Research Institute

Currently, 1 in 7 Irish women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and there are 3,507 cases diagnosed annually which is set to continue to increase. These women are our mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, friends and neighbours. We know these women, they play major roles in our lives. The National Breast Cancer Research Institute is a national charity that funds a comprehensive research programme at the University of Galway. We know that breast cancer research has improved the diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes for those who develop the disease. We want to fund these research programmes to continue to impact the outcomes for those who develop the disease in the future. The research team, in collaboration with universities and hospitals across the globe, focuses on the development & improvement of diagnostic techniques and treatment strategies, to drive real and measurable improvement in clinical outcomes for breast cancer patients.
