Sarah O Sullivan fundraising for Irish Cancer Society in Regeneron Great Limerick Run 2025
Early last year, my beautiful mam got diagnosed with bowel cancer. Something we never thought would knock at our front door. It was completely random, we had no family history of bowel cancer & she had no symptoms. Just a gut instinct. Someone was watching over her. I watched her go through a tough surgery to remove the tumour and chemotherapy. So many families go through this daily. My mam was extremely lucky to get the all clear 6 months later but others aren’t as lucky. I decided I wanted to do something to give back & I started to train with the goal of hitting a 10km, I had never run before in my life but slowly started to love it, with hitting a 10km I decided I’d take part in the half marathon but wanted to do it for a reason. My mams strength through it all was inspiring & she is truly amazing. Any donation at all is so greatly appreciated and it is for an amazing cause 🫶🏻
