The Regeneron Great Limerick Run will take place on Sunday May 4th 2025 from Pery Square Limerick.

The Regeneron Great Limerick Run is the biggest mass participation sporting event outside Dublin. Every year the City of Limerick comes to a stand still as thousands of runners take over and run the Citys streets! This event has 3 seperate distance options: Full Marathon, Half Marathon & 6 Mile!

START TIMES:

Marathon and the Marathon Relay event will start at 9am.

Half Marathon will start at 10:30am

6 Mile will start at 12:30pm.

Race Number Postage Closes 6th April

If you do not opt for postage you must collect your race pack from UL Arena between 11am - 4:30pm on Saturday 3rd May 2025.

Kids Run for Fun 2025

Join us for one of Ireland’s most exciting children’s running events—the Kids Run for Fun 2025, part of the Regeneron Great Limerick Run weekend! Taking place on the beautiful grounds of the University of Limerick, this event is designed to encourage healthy habits, outdoor activity, and joyful participation in a safe and supportive environment.

Whether it's your child’s first race or they're already little speedsters, this fun run is a brilliant way for primary school students to get active and experience the thrill of race day!

Event Details:

Date: Sunday, May 4th, 2025
Location: University of Limerick, Athletics Track and Campus
Entry Fee: €15 (includes event t-shirt & finisher medal)

Wave Starts:

  • 2:30PM – Wheelchair Event (on track)

  • 3:00PM – Junior & Senior Infants – 1KM route

  • 3:45PM – First, Second & Third Class – 1.5KM route

  • 4:30PM – Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Class – 2KM route

All participants will receive a special commemorative medal, a Kids Run for Fun t-shirt, and plenty of cheers from the sidelines!
