Sorcha McLoughlin fundraising for The Mater Hospital Foundation in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025
I’m running the Dublin City Marathon this October - and this one means a lot. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love running. This year, I’m challenging myself with my second marathon, and I’m proud to be running in support of The Mater Hospital Foundation. Many of you will remember my Aunty Marian. Thanks to the incredible care and dedication of the team at The Mater Hospital, Marian received a double lung transplant there in 2014. That gift gave her precious extra years with her family and friends - time that meant everything to all of us. Marian sadly passed away in February 2023. She was the biggest supporter of everyone around her - always cheering us on - and now I’m running in her honour. I’m asking for your support as I take on this challenge, both in Marian’s memory and to help raise vital funds for The Mater Hospital. Their work changes lives, giving people and families a second chance through transplant procedures and exceptional care. If you see me out and about running the roads between now and October, give me a beep - it’ll mean more than you know! Please donate if you can, share this page, and help me make a difference.
