Susan Lynch fundraising for Alzheimer Society of Ireland in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
This October, I’ll be running the Dublin Marathon in aid of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, a charity incredibly close to my heart. There are over 64,000 people living with dementia in Ireland, with 1 in 10 people diagnosed under the age of 65. Dementia does not discriminate based on age. It is a progressive and incredibly destructive disease that gradually strips a person of everything that makes them who they are. My own experience of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) has shown me that firsthand. At present, there is no treatment that can stop its progression and there is no cure. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be raising awareness and funds for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland and the incredible support they provide to individuals and families living with dementia. Any donation or support along the way would mean so much 💜
