Shauna Keogh fundraising for Acquired Brain Injury Ireland

As some of you may or may not know, our lovely Mum was rushed to hospital on the 6th of December 2023. Over the next few days my mum slipped into unconsciousness. The doctors were telling us that mum had a large abscess on the brain, along with Meningitis, Cerebritis and Cellulitis and told us to prepare for the worst. Luckily our incredibly strong Mum pulled through. Over the last year and a half my mum has spent a combined total of over 8 months in hospital, undergoing multiple Craniotomy's and other surgeries and unfortunately had to have part of the bone in her forehead removed. Even with all of this my mum is still fighting. She has become a staff favourite in Beamount Hospital, receiving the nickname "Booking.com" for the amount of wards she has stayed in. So this year I am running the Dublin City Marathon in aid of my mum with Brain Injury Ireland. If my mum can go through all of this and still continue to fight, surely I can run a marathon! So if you would like to donate (big or small) to a brilliant cause, or even come along and support me on the day. It would be hugely appreciated. Love Shauna x
