LADS!!! START TALKING This year, I’m running the Dublin Marathon, in nothing but a pair of Budgy Smugglers! My aim is to raise awareness and funds for Mens Mental Health in Ireland. I'm baring (almost) all, in the hope of encouraging those who are struggling to bare all their feelings and fears and to start talking and to seek help. 26.2 miles. That’s the distance between comfort and courage, between an ordinary day and a moment that could truly change lives. Every mile I run is a reminder of why I’m doing this — a reminder to myself , that this struggle is only a fraction of struggle many men are going through mentally. I'm doing this to make a real difference for those who need it most. It’s not just about crossing a finish line, or looking silly in budgys. It’s about showing up, pushing through, and turning effort into impact. If one person sees me and thinks, If he can bare all and take a risk of looking foolish, then I can call someone for help. Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say. Together, we can take every step a little further. Every mile matters. Every gesture helps. Remember, you don't know who in your life is struggling. By showing support, we can possibly save a life! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

About Grow Mental Health (Grow in Ireland)

Grow is a national community based Mental Health organisation which helps people who have suffered, or are suffering, from mental health problems. Members are helped to recover from all forms of mental breakdown, or indeed, to prevent such happening. Grow, founded in Australia in 1957 by former mental sufferers, has a national network of over 130 groups in Ireland. It's principal strength is the support members give each other from their own experience in matters to do with mental health. Grow's Misson is to create new hope, sense of identity, meaning and valued connections by empowering people to nurture their own positive mental health and wellbeing, by supporting personal growth and establishing a path of recovery with education, self teaching and peer support. Since coming to Ireland in 1969, Grow Mental Health has established 130 free support groups operating in communities throughout Ireland. The groups meet on a weekly basis and are open to anyone over 18 years of age.
