Owen Small fundraising for Alzheimer Society of Ireland
Alzheimer’s disease and dementia are uniquely challenging afflictions a family can face. It leaves loved ones with more than just grief and has unfortunately caused an immense amount of pain to my family. Two years ago, I ran a half-marathon (the longest I've ever ran) to face this pain and raise money for ASI. I'll certainly never run that far again, but have decided a 10k is a great target. I crushed my €500 fundraising goal last time, but that was twice the distance and twice the time to fundraise, so I feel its a good place to start again. Any tiny bit helps but please stay within your means! “If we don’t transform our pain, we will most assuredly transmit it.” - Richard Roth
