Owen fundraising for UNICEF Ireland in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025
I’m running the Dublin Marathon 2025 on 26th October (my first marathon). I'm running in memory of Mohammed al-Bardawil, a 12 year old boy from Gaza that was murdered by Israel in their ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. Why? He was a key eye witness in the execution of 15 paramedics, rescue workers and UN staff in Rafah by Israel. I was watching my boys play on a Saturday morning in May when I read about Mohammed and it really floored me. How could this world be so cruel. I decided I wanted to do something to honour his name and show solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Dublin marathon seemed like the right fit if I could find a race entry. I've been fortunate to be offered a charity place to run for UNICEF. An amazing charity that has experienced huge funding cuts recently. Your donations mean more now than ever. Please donate to help UNICEF provide health, nutrition and clean water to the world's most vulnerable children.
