Hi all, Thank you for taking time to visit this page. It is greatly appreciated. On 25th May, a group of 6 of us from Gears ⚙️ & Beers club are cycling the entire length of Portugal — 734km over 6 days, with nearly 10,000m of climbing — to raise funds for a cause that truly matters: ‘Cycle Against Suicide’ We have previously done Mizen to Malin to help raise awareness and funds and wanted to do this incredible challenge for a wonderful and brilliant cause close to many people’s hearts. This incredible charity supports the mental health of our young people, spreading one vital message across schools, communities, and workplaces across Ireland: “It’s okay not to feel okay — and it’s absolutely okay to ask for help.” I’ve supported this organisation for many years. Its mission, its people, and its impact continue to inspire me. I believe in what they do — and I believe in why they do it. In the coming weeks, 5 great friends and I will be training in the wild beauty of West Galway and Connemara. There’ll be sweat. There’ll be steep climbs. There may even be a few tears. But this journey isn’t about us. It’s about hope. And it’s about help. Too many of us have seen the heartbreak that suicide brings. It touches families, friends, colleagues — it doesn’t discriminate. But together, we can make a difference. Every euro raised goes directly to the charity — As always I’m covering 100% of my own costs.
