This October, I’m running the Dublin City Marathon to raise money for Children in Hospital Ireland, a charity that’s become really close to my heart. Over the past few months, I’ve been volunteering with them in Crumlin Hospital. I wanted to see their work first hand and what I’ve witnessed has been nothing short of incredible. Children in Hospital Ireland supports children and families during some of their hardest days. They bring play, comfort and a bit of normality to kids facing hospital stays and they support parents who are doing their best to stay strong for their little ones. Volunteering with them has shown me just how much of a difference they make. Whether it’s distracting a child with a board game or giving a parent time to breathe, their presence in the hospital is powerful. If you can, please support me by donating. Every euro helps bring a little more joy and support to a child who needs it. Thank you so much 💛

About Children in Hospital Ireland

Children in Hospital Ireland supports children and their families in healthcare settings throughout Ireland through play, advocacy, and education. Since 1970, our mission has been to promote the wellbeing of children within the healthcare system. We work to provide information and support to parents and carers, and advocate on behalf of children and their families. In addition, we aim to make the hospital a happier place for children and young people by providing volunteer-led play and recreation services. The work of Children in Hospital Ireland is firmly rooted in and inspired by the lived experience of children in hospital and their families, and the knowledge and insights of our volunteers and supporters.
