AFESOL (Association of Relatives and People with Mental Illness of the Costa del Sol), based in Benalmádena, is a non-profit organization founded in 1999 by relatives and individuals with lived experience of mental illness, united to seek solutions to the challenges arising from mental health conditions. The organization operates throughout the province of Málaga, particularly in the western Costa del Sol area. The organization’s general purpose is to promote the improvement of the quality of life of people with mental health problems, based on the recovery-oriented approach; to advocate for improvements in mental health care within the province of Málaga; to support relatives and individuals with mental illness in their interactions with public authorities; and to promote social awareness and the fight against stigma. AFESOL was legally established on September 2, 1999, was declared a Public Utility Organization by Ministerial Order dated December 26, 2006, and is registered in the

Darkness Into Light 2026 es una caminata solidaria global de 5 km que tendrá lugar alrededor de las 4:15 de la madrugada del sábado 9 de mayo de 2026. La caminata comienza en la oscuridad y finaliza con la salida del sol, que se produce a distintas horas según el lugar.

Este inspirador evento simboliza la esperanza, ya que comunidades de todo el mundo se reúnen para apoyar la salud mental y prevenir el suicidio.
Hay muchas formas de participar.
