John Barry fundraising for Breakthrough Cancer Research in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 — for something bigger than myself. Unfournately as is the case in so may homes around Ireland, cancer came to our door. I am running this marathon for my sister who has been battling this disease in one form or another for the past 12 years. She has always wore it well and continues to make her own journey easy on everyone around her. 42.2 kilometres. That’s the distance between comfort and courage, between an ordinary day and a moment that could truly change lives. Every kilometre I run is a reminder of why I’m doing this — to make a real difference for those who need it most. It’s not just about crossing a finish line; it’s about showing up, pushing through, and turning effort into impact. Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say. Together, we can take every step a little further. Every mile matters. Every gesture helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. JGB.
