This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026 — for something bigger than myself. 26.2 miles. That’s the distance between comfort and courage, between an ordinary day and a moment that could truly change lives. Every mile I run is a reminder of why I’m doing this — to make a real difference for those who need it most. It’s not just about crossing a finish line; it’s about showing up, pushing through, and turning effort into impact. About LauraLynn Children's Hospice
LauraLynn is Ireland's only Children's Hospice, marking 13 years of providing palliative care and support for children with life limiting conditions and their families from all across Ireland. LauraLynn provides symptom management, planned short breaks, emergency and end-of-life care, as well as family supports and bereavement care. Care can be delivered in our purpose-built hospice in Dublin, at hospital, in the community, or in the family home. The LauraLynn in the Community Team provides care and supports in the family home in the Leinster region, as well as a Cork-based team across Cork, Kerry and Limerick and a base in Ballinasloe providing care in the Midlands, West and Northwest. Since opening in 2011, LauraLynn has cared for over 751 families including parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents. LauraLynn care is provided completely free of charge to families and relies primarily on fundraised income to fund its hospice services. Thank you for your kind support.
