Last December, seven months before marrying my wife Becky in June, I pledged to run the Dublin Marathon to raise funds for the Irish Kidney Association, the charity that has supported her family for nearly three decades. Watching her father Rubens chronic kidney disease experience left a profound mark on Becky and her family. They know firsthand the emotional and physical toll of chronic kidney disease, and they have a deep appreciation for the gift of organ donation. Learning their story and seeing first hand the journey to Rubens second transplant inspired me to take on the marathon challenge in solidarity with my new family. Any donation would be hugely appreciated and go towards vital treatment for Chronic Kidney Disease, Transplants and Organ Donation Awareness. Thanks a mill!
